Daniel Weiss (1959-) is an Iowa-based artist who uses found materials to create assemblages or, as he prefers, “assembled paintings.” On linking pages are ten exhibition posters, designed by Roy R. Behrens (the exhibit’s curator) in celebration of the works (a total of 24 pieces) that are currently on view in the foyer of the Gallery of Art, University of Northern Iowa. There are also installation views and a biographical note.

This exhibition, which runs from August 25 through September 21, 2008, was made possible by funding from George Sexton Associates of Washington DC at www.gsadc.com, and by the kind cooperation of Darrell Taylor, Director of the UNI Gallery of Art, and Jeffery Byrd, Head of the UNI Department of Art.dwshow.htmldwbio.htmlhttp://www.gsadc.comhttp://www.uni.edu/artdept/Gallery.htmlhttp://www.uni.edu/artdept/Home.htmlshapeimage_3_link_0shapeimage_3_link_1shapeimage_3_link_2shapeimage_3_link_3shapeimage_3_link_4
